We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded person to join the growing Burlington Stone sales team in this newly created role.
About Us
Burlington Stone is one of the UK’s leading natural stone manufacturers, supplying roofing slate, walling stone and architectural stone products across the UK and internationally. With a heritage dating back over 175 years, we’re known for producing high-quality Cumbrian slate and work on a wide range of projects from private homes and heritage restorations through to major architectural and commercial developments.
About the Role
The role is focused on identifying new construction projects, managing information within our CRM system, supporting architects and contractors, and helping drive new business opportunities into the wider sales team.
The successful candidate will play an important part in supporting the sales team with project information from early planning through to tender and construction stages, while also assisting with incoming enquiries.

This role would suit a graduate, college leaver or early-career candidate looking to build a long-term career within construction and specification sales. Previous experience within construction is not essential, as full training will be given.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Barbour ABI, planning portals and construction databases for new project opportunities
- Identify architects, contractors, developers and key project contacts
- Maintain the company CRM system, ensuring project, customer, enquiry and quote information remains accurate and up to date
- Assist with incoming sales and technical enquiries
- Liaise with architects and design practices to co-ordinate CPD presentations
- Arrange samples, technical literature and supporting information
- Support lead generation and business development activity
- Help maintain project photography, case studies, technical literature and marketing content

Desirable
- Experience using CRM systems
- Experience within construction, manufacturing or technical sales
- Knowledge of planning portals, construction projects or specification sales
- Experience using Barbour ABI or similar platforms
