Arbitration Associate / Senior Associate

[About the Role] Eclectic Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent international law firm to recruit aspiring Arbitration Associates and Senior Associates to reinforce its prestigious disputes practice in London.
This role presents a compelling opportunity to collaborate with some of the UK’s leading arbitration practitioners and take your expertise to the forefront of high-value international arbitrations. The team specialises in complex commercial arbitrations, investor-state disputes, and cross-border jurisprudence across diverse sectors.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver counsel on high-stakes arbitration matters for global corporations, financial institutions, governments, and state-backed organisations.
- Guide clients through proceedings from inception through to dispute resolution (e.g., under ICSID, UNCITRAL, and LCIA rules).
- Curtail preparation documents, participate in arbitral proceedings, and chair hearings.
- Mentor junior colleagues while working closely with senior partners.
For an Associate (2–3 PQE)
- Experience & Qualifications:
- Solicitor admitted in England & Wales.
- Training at a Magic Circle, Silver Circle, elite international, or US practice (preferred trail experience).
- Strong grounding in commercial arbitration, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
- Academic excellence and robust prescription (e.g., Law School rankings, prestigious scholarships).
- Confidence in analytic writing, case strategy, and client relationship management.

- Essential Soft Skills:
- Proven curiosity for complex transnational disputes (knack for synthesising contentious law).
- Candidate must excel as a self-starter with interdisciplinary poise.
For a Senior Associate (5–7 PQE)
- Experience & Qualifications:

5–7 Years Post-Qualification (magic-box mandatory).

Proven track record advising on international commercial and treaty-based arbitration (full project lifecycle exposure expected).

Demonstrated ability to lead arbitrations, including managing arbitrator-selection processes and vendor coordination.

Recognised competence as a client-counselor—briding gaps between legal strategy and commercial imperatives.

Logistics: Must adequately supervise teams, allocate work, and handle high-visibility briefs.

- Essential Soft Skills:
