About the Role

We are working with a leading international law firm seeking a talented Disputes Associate or Senior Associate to join its high-performing Dubai-based disputes practice.

This firm is regularly involved in high-profile, strategically significant disputes while maintaining a highly collaborative working culture. The successful candidate will join a growing team handling complex, high-value, and often cross-border matters. The role offers exposure to the highest quality work typically associated with top-tier global firms, but within a supportive and structured environment.

The disputes practice covers a broad range of contentious matters including:

  • Commercial litigation
  • International arbitration
  • Construction disputes
  • Cross-border proceedings

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing case files and coordinating multi-jurisdictional teams across high-value disputes.
  • Advising a broad client base—including corporates and financial institutions—on case strategy and dispute assessment.
  • Drafting pleadings, submissions, and other complex legal and arbitral documentation.
  • Working closely with partners and senior lawyers on sophisticated disputes from inception through to hearings and resolution.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and managing disclosure, evidence review, and settlement negotiations.

Candidate Requirements

  • 3–5 years PQE gained within a complex, international legal environment.
  • Qualified Solicitor/Lawyer, preference for a common law jurisdiction.
  • Strong experience in:
    • Commercial litigation
    • Domestic/international arbitration
    • Cross-border dispute resolution
  • Excellent drafter, analytical, legal research, and communication skills.
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to handling high-pressure matters and tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a high-performing team.
