Title: International Brand Marketing Director Department: Marketing Manager: VP, International Brand Location: United Kingdom - Hybrid Position Overview We are seeking a bold, strategic, and entrepreneurial International Brand Marketing Director to lead the development and execution of our brand presence across key international markets. You will lead all marketing across the UK, as well as retail marketing in France, Nordics, and the Middle East, and support distributor-led professional marketing across France, Nordics, Middle East, and Australia. This newly created leadership role is central to building and scaling a high-performing international marketing function. It’s a highly entrepreneurial opportunity at the forefront of managing how we grow globally. You will own both the strategic vision and the executional roadmap to drive brand performance and commercial impact across these markets. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, is energized by building from the ground up, and is motivated by the opportunity to shape global growth. Responsibilities International Marketing Strategy & Leadership • Define and lead the international brand marketing strategy across key markets, ensuring alignment with global objectives while tailoring for local relevance. • Guide the development of integrated marketing calendars, activation plans and 360 campaigns, ensuring strategic cohesion across retail and professional channels. • Serve as the senior marketing voice for key international markets in global brand planning. • Translate business goals into actionable marketing strategies that drive brand equity, engagement, and commercial performance. International Social Media & Community Strategy • Oversee the strategic direction of social media and community engagement, ensuring alignment with global brand voice and local resonance. • Set performance benchmarks and guide the localization of content strategies to drive innovation, engagement, and growth. • Partner with global and regional teams to ensure social media efforts are insight-driven and performance-optimized. Public Relations & Communications • Lead the strategic vision for PR, adapting the global strategy locally and balancing consumer and trade press to elevate brand awareness and advocacy. • Oversee the development of market-specific PR strategies that support launches, campaigns, and brand storytelling. Influencer & Artistry Strategy • Set the strategic direction for influencer and artistry partnerships across international markets. • Guide the development of scalable ambassador programs in partnership with global education and marketing teams. • Oversee talent strategy, agency relationships, and performance measurement to ensure influencer efforts drive brand and business impact. Education • Lead the international education strategy in partnership with the SVP Education, ensuring alignment with brand and commercial goals. • Oversee the development of education programs that support both professional and retail channels. • Ensure education initiatives are market-relevant, scalable, and integrated into broader marketing and sales strategies. Team & Cross-Functional Leadership • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Directly manage the Senior Manager, International Brand Marketing and the International Education Lead. Provide dotted-line leadership to the Retail Sales Manager and UK Professional Sales Director, ensuring alignment across brand, sales, and education. • Foster a high-performance culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and collaboration across global and regional teams. • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews to support team growth and professional development. • Effectively manage and allocate team resources to maximize impact and efficiency. Budget & Performance Management • Own and manage the key international brand marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and strong ROI across all initiatives. • Establish KPIs and performance benchmarks for all marketing activities, continuously optimizing for impact and growth. • Report on performance to key stakeholders and adjust strategies based on data and market feedback. Qualifications We are looking for someone with regional expertise and a proven track record in driving growth. • Bachelor's degree required. • 10+ years of experience in international and/or regional marketing roles with a proven track record of driving success. • Proven track record and accumulated expertise of the UK professional stylist/salon and retail markets with a strong knowledge & experience across the key markets (France, Nordics, Middle East and Australia). • Deep expertise in 360 marketing planning and integrated marketing programming, with a strong emphasis on digital and social-first strategies and a clear history of achieving measurable results. • Minimum 3-5 years of people management experience in the stated key markets #LI-NS1 As an equal opportunities’ employer, Unilever Prestige Hub Brands/Tatcha/Murad//Living Proof/K18 is committed to the equal treatment of all current and prospective employees regardless of age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, or marriage and civil partnership.
