We understand that success is achieved through our people, and we are searching for a committed and passionate International Distribution Analyst to join our growing business.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to support and optimise the international distribution network by providing accurate data analysis, performance reporting, and operational insight across global supply chains. The International Distribution Analyst plays a key role in monitoring distribution activity, identifying optimisation opportunities, supporting compliance, and enabling efficient, cost-effective movement of goods into international markets.

The role supports the International Department’s growth ambitions by modelling route to market options, analysing new market feasibility, developing and improving supply chain reporting, and assessing opportunities for integrating System Based Ordering (SBO) solutions with key customers. Through strong cross functional collaboration, the analyst enhances visibility, drives continuous improvement, and contributes to the overall reliability, compliance, and profitability of international distribution operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support the development and execution of international distribution plans by providing data analysis, reporting, and operational insights.
  • Monitor KPIs and performance of third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and customs brokers, escalating issues where required.
  • Report on key KPIs while also proactively challenging KPI performance, targets, and underlying assumptions to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Analyse transportation costs, lead times, container utilisation, and regional inventory levels to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Provide distribution data and insight to procurement, warehousing, supply chain, and retail teams to support reliable forecasting and demand planning.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by analysing bottlenecks and recommending actions to enhance efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.
  • Support risk identification by monitoring geopolitical, environmental, and operational factors impacting supply chain performance.
  • Provide data and dashboard reporting to regional logistics partners, contributing to performance reviews and improvement planning.
  • Work with UK suppliers to assess direct-to-market delivery models, analysing potential efficiency and cost benefits.
  • Support the partnership with Edge Worldwide through logistics reporting, performance tracking, and identifying new revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the International and Partnerships teams to evaluate supply chain cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives within existing markets.
  • Work cross-functionally to analyse and optimise Depot 80 operations, focusing on availability, cost control, and flow of goods.
  • Support Export and Packaging teams by tracking product range availability at Depot 80 and ensuring compliance with NFEU and export labelling requirements.
  • Support Supply Chain in investigating depot discrepancies by reviewing data, identifying issues, and supporting corrective actions.
  • Support international growth plans by providing analysis for new markets, route-to-market options, and feasibility assessments.
  • Develop and enhance supply chain reporting, improving visibility of key operational and logistics performance indicators.
  • Analyse and support opportunities to integrate Sales Based Ordering (SBO) models with key customers, providing data-driven insight for commercial discussions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
