Job Description

Jefferies is seeking an experienced Asia Equity Sales Vice President to join its London Equities division. The successful candidate will be responsible for distributing Pan-Asia / Asia-ex-Japan equity research, market insights, corporate access, and ECM opportunities to institutional investors operating global or Asia-dedicated mandates. The role will operate from London while partnering closely with Jefferies’ regional hubs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, Mumbai, Sydney, and Tokyo to deliver seamless, high-quality client coverage across time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Client Coverage & Relationship Management

  • Manage and expand relationships with UK-, European-, and Middle East-based institutional investors with Asia-focused portfolios, including hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and long-only asset managers.
  • Serve as the client’s primary conduit to Jefferies’ Asia equity platform, ensuring timely delivery of research, corporate access, and market intelligence.
  • Develop strategic account plans to drive wallet share and deepen multi-product penetration across the firm.

Asia Market & Product Distribution

  • Distribute actionable investment ideas across China, India, ASEAN, Korea, Taiwan, and Australia, covering macro themes, sector developments, catalysts, and trade ideas sourced from Jefferies’ Asia research teams.
  • Provide clients with pre-market, intra-day, and post-market colour across Asia trading sessions.
  • Curate and deliver Asia corporate access, including NDRs, CEO/CFO roundtables, site visits, bespoke investor trips, and thematic conferences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
