Company Description

Are you tired of the financial advice industry’s empty promises? So are we.

What if your next role wasn’t just another advisory position in a crowded, algorithm-driven industry — but the chance to help build something meaningful from the ground up? A firm dedicated to restoring real, human financial advice for UK nationals and internationally mobile professionals living abroad.

EquusLegacy.com is a boutique, independent advisory practice currently preparing for launch. We strip away the corporate machine — no robo-advisers, no sales funnels, no apps promising effortless wealth. Instead, we offer straightforward, qualified conversations in plain English about the things that actually matter: UK pensions (including QROPS and non-resident rules), retirement planning, cross-border investments, succession and inheritance, protection cover that works overseas, and building financial resilience across borders.

We’re looking for experienced financial advisors who are genuinely excited by expat life — people who understand the unique challenges of managing money when home is no longer where you live. This will not be a mass-market role. We’ll be serving good income to HNW and UHNW individuals, consultants, business owners and families who want thoughtful guidance, not product pushers.

Recruitment is now underway for founding Financial Advisors who are expected to join our planned launch in late 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and operational readiness.

Job Description

  • Deliver personalized financial planning to UK expats and other globally mobile EU and other predominantly Western clients.
  • Advise on retirement income strategies, savings/investments, legacy/succession planning, and protection solutions that travel with clients.
  • Help build client relationships that span years and countries.
  • Contribute to shaping Equus Legacy’s early processes, thought leadership, and service model as we grow thoughtfully (we’re not aiming for 10,000 clients — we want the right ones).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications

Who We’re Looking For

You bring:

  • Strong qualifications and experience in financial advising, ideally though not limited to, cross-border/international wealth and asset management, UK pensions, and retirement planning.
  • Real-world understanding of expat challenges (currency, tax residency shifts, portable protection, multi-jurisdiction planning).
  • A relationship-first mindset — you enjoy deep client conversations and long-term partnerships over high-volume transactions.
  • Independence and integrity: We’re building a firm rooted in genuine advice, not product quotas.
  • Comfort working remotely with modern tools, while delivering the personal touch clients expect and deserve.

We welcome those with experience in international markets (Europe, Middle East, Asia, Latin America, etc.), training/mentoring, or building advisory practices.

Additional Information

Why Join EquusLegacy.com?

  • Be part of the founding team during a pivotal time — influence how we serve clients and operate.
  • Fully remote flexibility with the autonomy that comes with independent advisory work.
  • Alignment with a philosophy that values old-school advice for modern expat problems: clarity, trust, and long-term security over hype.
  • Work with co-founders who have deep UK financial services roots (including NatWest/private client experience) and extensive international expat advisory backgrounds across multiple continents.
  • This is a commission-only opportunity with realistic on-target earnings (OTE) typically in the region of £80,000–£120,000+ for successful advisers, depending on experience, performance and market. Full details of the remuneration structure will be discussed during the recruitment process.

We’re not for everyone and will not just be taking on anyone and everyone. If you thrive in high-pressure sales environments or prefer the safety of a large corporate structure, this probably isn’t the fit. But if you’re tired of the industry’s noise and believe in the power of authentic advice for people navigating life across borders, this could be a rare chance to build something lasting.

Next Steps:

We are currently accepting applications from experienced advisers interested in joining our founding team.

Why Now?

We won’t just be hiring advisors. We’re building a movement—one that puts trust, transparency, and human connection back into financial advice. If you’re ready to ditch the corporate script and do work that actually matters, let’s talk.

Regulatory Disclosure: Equus Legacy will operate as an independent financial advisory firm. Services will be offered in accordance with applicable regulatory and/or licensing requirements via our authorized network partners.
