Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Associate to join their leading Technology Transactions team in London. This is an exceptional opportunity for a UK-qualified lawyer with significant experience in complex technology transactions, alongside growing expertise in AI contracting and governance, to work on cutting-edge matters shaping the digital economy.
Responsibilities:
- UK-qualified solicitor with a strong academic background (2:1 or above; LPC or SQE completed)
- At least 6+ years' PQE with a strong focus on technology transactions within a leading law firm or in-house environment
- Demonstrated experience advising on AI contracting and governance frameworks
- Deep understanding of commercial technology agreements, including SaaS/cloud, outsourcing, software licensing, and system implementation projects
- Strong grasp of key contractual concepts such as warranties, indemnities, liabilities, SLAs, and transition/exit arrangements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret and deliver complex legal advice in a clear, commercial manner
- Proven ability to lead projects and contribute to business development initiatives
About The Role:
- Advising on a broad range of technology and telecoms-focused commercial transactions
- Leading high-value and strategically significant technology projects with partner oversight
- Providing specialist advice on AI contracting and governance, supporting clients navigating emerging regulatory and commercial challenges
- Collaborating with international teams on cross-border matters involving global clients
- Supporting clients across a variety of sectors, particularly those at the forefront of digital transformation and innovation
- Playing an active role in client relationship development and broader business development initiatives

The successful candidate will have a strong background in technology transactions, coupled with experience advising on the legal and governance aspects of artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex technology transactions with partner support where required.
- Advise clients on AI-related contractual, regulatory and governance issues.
- Negotiate and draft a wide variety of technology and commercial agreements.
- Provide strategic and commercially focused advice on technology procurement and implementation projects.
- Manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Support and mentor junior lawyers within the team.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 6 years' post-qualification experience.
- Significant experience in technology transactions gained within a leading law firm or relevant in-house environment.
- Proven exposure to AI contracting, governance or regulatory matters.
- Strong knowledge of commercial technology agreements, including:
- Warranties and indemnities
- Limitation of liability provisions
- Service levels (SLAs)
- Change control mechanisms
- Transition and exit arrangements
- Software escrow arrangements
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and client management skills.
- The ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and commercially.
- A genuine interest in developing expertise within the rapidly evolving AI legal landscape.
