International Mobility & Tax Compliance Manager – Group Reward & Policy

Role Purpose
This critical role is accountable for International Mobility within the Reward function and will partner closely with the shared operations team in Hungary to deliver a smooth and effective programme across our diverse global footprint and policy types. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the Company’s international benefit suite
- Supporting the Employment and Expatriate Tax Senior Manager with key compliance activities throughout the year.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Global Mobility professional who:
- Has worked in complex tax and/or benefits environments
- Or is eager to develop new capability in areas such as benefits, tax, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
International Mobility
- Oversee the end-to-end international moves of the Vodafone Leadership Team.
- Manage relationships with shared operations international mobility teams, identifying opportunities to enhance the employee experience.
- Regularly review and implement changes to the mobility programme, assessing attraction and retention strategies and return on investment.
- Work closely with vendors (e.g., immigration, relocation services) and support transformation efforts to align with Vodafone’s evolving talent agenda.
Employment and Expatriate Tax
- Assist with tax compliance obligations, including:
- Short-term business visitor monitoring
- Directors’ expense reporting
- PAYE Settlement Agreement process management and improvement
- Share scheme reporting and tax service provider support
- Partner with the Global Employment and Expatriate Tax Senior Manager to shape and deliver effective tax-related processes.

International Benefits
- Act as the benefits subject-matter expert for global markets (e.g., Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the US).
- Ensure local benefit arrangements and insured plans are:
- Compliance-aligned
- Competitive
- Value-driven and ROI-focused
- Lead periodic reviews and renewals of benefit programmes, managing broker and insurer relationships.
- Provide recommendations on plan design, coverage, savings optimisation, and employee experience.

- Engage in Group Reward & Policy projects and initiatives, leveraging broader team strengths to deliver impactful outcomes.
Who You Are
Vodafone is looking for:
- Proven experience in international and cross-cultural environments
- Deep knowledge of global mobility, covering:
- Policy enforcement
- Process optimization
- Compliance alignment
- Exceptional stakeholder influence and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences
- Proven ability to manage large vendors and supplier contracts
- Strong communication skills to simplify and articulate complex tax/benefits issues
- Talent for process and design improvements, with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced numeracy and Microsoft Excel proficiency
Preferred but not essential:
- Background in employment and expatriate taxation
- Awareness of employee benefit structures and insured arrangements

- Yearly bonus: 10% of base salary
- Annual leave: 28 days per year (plus bank holidays)
- Optional balance adjustments: Build, carry over, or buy/sell up to 5 days annually

- First 13 weeks fully paid, followed by 26 weeks at half-pay
