Role purpose
This role is accountable for International Mobility within the Reward function and will partner closely with the shared operations team in Hungary to deliver a smooth and effective programme across our diverse footprint and policy types. The role will also be responsible for managing the Company’s international benefit suite, and supporting the Employment and Expat Tax Senior Manager with key compliance activities throughout the year. The ideal candidate would be an experienced Global Mobility professional who has had some experience in tax and/or is eager to develop new capability in areas such as benefits and tax.
International Mobility
The individual will spend most of their time overseeing the International Mobility programme, working closely with the Group Reward & Policy Director to manage the moves of the leadership team. They will also manage the relationship with a variety of vendors, such as immigration and relocation. Vodafone is continuing to revolutionise our talent agenda, and therefore this means there is an opportunity to help shape changes to the IM programme that will support Vodafone retain and develop critical talent.
Employment and Expatriate Tax
This individual will also support the Global Employment and Expatriate Tax Senior Manager in managing aspects of the employment and expatriate tax processes which, for example, includes: short term business visitor monitoring, directors expense reporting, and managing and improving the PAYE Settlement Agreement process alongside other activities.
International Benefits
The individual will also gain experience in benefits. They will act as the benefits subject‑matter expert for international markets (for example Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Singapore and the US), ensuring local benefit arrangements and insured plans are compliant, and competitive, and aligned with global principles.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee the end-to-end international moves of the Vodafone Leadership Team
- Manage the relationship with the shared operations international mobility team, and partner with them to identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience
- Review and implement changes within the mobility programme to attract and retain critical talent and skills; regularly assessing return on investment
- Assist with employment and expatriate tax compliance obligations including short term business visitor monitoring, directors expense reporting, PAYE Settlement Agreement, share scheme reporting and information needed by our tax service provider
- Lead periodic reviews and renewals of local and international benefit programmes, managing broker and insurer relationships and making recommendations on plan design, coverage, return on investment, and employee experience
- As part of the Group Reward & Policy Team; opportunities to participate in the delivery of projects or activities for the wider team.
Who You Are
- Proven experience working in roles in international and cross-cultural environments
- Strong knowledge of the global mobility operating model, including policy, process, and compliance.
- Strong ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience managing large vendors
- Skilled in communicating complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
- Experience identifying and embedding improvements in design and process.
- Highly numerate with advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Good awareness and understanding of employment and expatriate tax is preferable
- Awareness of employee benefits and insured arrangements is ideal but not essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level
