International Payroll Senior Manager

Reporting to: VP International Payroll
Based in: Camden
Working conditions: Hybrid

Please note this a contract position for 3-6 months

This is a Payroll Senior Manager position reporting into VP International Payroll. You will have responsibility for managing team members and ensuring both International and UK payrolls are processed timely and accurately.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions within established tax laws
  • Overseeing the monthly payroll for EMEA and APAC countries
  • Year-end process for both International and UK payrolls
  • Ensuring accuracy of monthly journals submitted
  • Keep abreast of prevailing legislation and committed to Continuous Personal Development
  • Full 3rd party responsibilities for all payrolls
  • Develop and implement companywide policy and procedures related to payroll and pensions
  • Advising payroll team members about taxes and employment laws on salary
  • Analysing and reporting on payroll data
  • Auditing the payroll to make sure it satisfies all government regulations
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Use data and reporting to guide process improvements as well as driving performance and providing business and operational updates
  • Be the escalation point for any payroll related issues/questions
  • Supervise and coach other team members/Working with the VP International Payroll to set the team Goals and Objectives
  • Hiring and training new payroll team members
  • Subject Matter Expert of the standard methodologies for payroll, compliance and internal controls
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and other documentation to Finance, HR and other authorised parties
  • Be the point of contact for internal partners to discuss service satisfaction and any process improvements required
  • Contribute to positive working environment by providing excellent customer service to employees/internal and external stakeholders as it relates to pay, data integrity, payment authorizations, and appropriate reporting to our partners, pension schemes, HMRC and other country specific statutory bodies.

  • Specialised in 2-3 International Payrolls preferably but not mandatory NL, CA, ARG
  • Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • An analytical mind and good math skills
  • Ownership of issues until point of resolution
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Highly proficient in interpreting payroll rules and regulations

Person Specification:

  • CIPP qualified or part-qualified
  • Confident in Excel use
