Position: International Payroll Specialist (European projects)
Location: London based office/remotely depending on candidate location
Type: Full time / Part time
Responsibilities
- Payroll processing for mainly Nordic countries, Ireland, and additional countries as reasonably required in line with the needs of the business
- Collect, review, and approve timesheets and attendance data. Calculate gross-to-net pay including overtime, bonuses, and commission
- Ensure payroll transactions strictly adhere to government regulations, based on the country
- Maintain immaculate, confidential records of payroll transactions, employee benefits, and statutory leaves (e.g., maternity/paternity, or sick pay)
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and field employee questions regarding payslips and deductions
- Reconcile payroll data, prepare reports for finance/HR departments, and assist with internal or external audits

Candidate Profile
This is an independent contribution role that requires a high level of self-direction and accountability. The candidate must possess the ability to complete assigned duties in a timely manner without daily oversight.
Key Skills And Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in international payroll administration (minimum 2 Nordic countries)
- Processing end-to-end payroll procedure (starters, leavers, bonuses, adjustments)
- Strong working knowledge of payroll platforms such as NMBRS, Tripletex, Visma, Mepco, Hogia, Procounter, etc.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential
- High numerical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail to prevent costly payroll errors
- Excellent interpersonal skills to explain complex payroll matters clearly to staff and operations team
- Handling employee payroll queries and explaining payslips, benefits, and deductions
- Ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information with absolute confidentiality

Salary
Salary is negotiable and discussed at the interview + Bonuses based on performance
