Job Description: Investment Specialist & Team Lead (UK Private Banking)

Job Summary
As an Investment Specialist & Team Lead in our UK private banking business, you will lead in communicating market strategy and investment knowledge to sophisticated clients and investment committees during portfolio reviews and investment forums. You’ll also work closely with clients to assess their portfolio objectives and long-term asset allocations.
Our portfolio covers the entire spectrum of WM open architecture platforms, including Fixed Income, Equities, Alternatives, and global multi-asset mandates. Quickly establishing credibility internally and externally, you will partner with Private Bankers, Investors, Lending Advisors, Wealth Advisors, and Philanthropists to build strong client relationships and promote services to endowments & foundations.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing a team of 5–10 Investment Specialists based in London
- Taking a leading role in investment dialogues with clients
- Advising clients on holistic asset allocation and portfolio construction, and tactical shifts
- Executing customised investment solutions across Investment Management, Mutual Funds, Structured Products, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Foreign Exchange, as well as traditional brokerage transactions in line with client plans
- Generating new business and expanding regionally by collaborating with EMEA Integrated Team Members and Senior Management
- Overseeing sales management, including:
- Coordination of RFPs, pitches, road shows, and proposals
- Demonstrating expertise on the J.P. Morgan platform, solutions and investment philosophy
- Working effectively across internal product partners, banking teams, risk and compliance, and marketing

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
- Significant market experience working with ultra high-net-worth clients
- Prior management experience
- A proven ability to build trust with clients and manage relationships—both externally and internally
- Strong communication skills (excel in both verbal and written exchanges); must convey investment knowledge with credibility
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills
- Tenacious, ambitious personality with a track record of success in client-facing roles
- Superior analytical and computer skills
- Non-commissioned background (or willingness to transition to this structure)
