As our business continues to grow across the UK and internationally, we're looking for an experienced International Tax & Compliance Accountant to join our Finance team.

This is a specialist role responsible for ensuring the business meets its UK and international tax, regulatory and statutory compliance obligations. Working closely with the Head of Finance, external advisers and colleagues across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Sustainability and Commercial, you'll help ensure we remain compliant across multiple jurisdictions while preparing the business for future regulatory changes.

We offer a genuine four-day working week with no reduction in salary or benefits, giving you the opportunity to make a significant impact while enjoying greater work-life balance.

The Role

The International Tax & Compliance Accountant will be the business' internal lead for indirect tax, international compliance and financial regulatory reporting.

The role is focused on ensuring Lucy & Yak remains compliant across all relevant jurisdictions while coordinating with external advisers where specialist support is required.

Key Responsibilities

UK & International Tax Compliance

  • Prepare and submit UK VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Manage indirect tax compliance across the UK, EU, United States, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Coordinate overseas VAT, GST and sales tax registrations, filings and ongoing compliance obligations.
  • Oversee US sales tax compliance, working alongside external advisers where appropriate.
  • Manage Australian and New Zealand GST compliance.
  • Monitor EU VAT requirements, including OSS/IOSS (where applicable).
  • Oversee import VAT, customs duty and international trade compliance.
  • Act as the primary finance contact for HMRC and external international tax advisers.
  • Prepare tax schedules and supporting information for external accountants to complete year-end corporation tax and statutory reporting.
  • Build effective relationships with external advisers to ensure compliance obligations are met efficiently.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
