We make health happen
At Bupa, our purpose is simple: helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.
As an International Tax Manager (FTC), you’ll play a key role in supporting that purpose. You’ll help ensure our global tax approach is responsible, transparent, and aligned with how we care for our customers and communities.
Working within Group Finance, you’ll be part of a collaborative and experienced Group Tax team. This role gives you exposure to international tax matters across multiple markets, offering the chance to influence decisions on cross-border activity and help shape how we manage tax risk and opportunities globally. You’ll also get the opportunity to work on complex projects, partner with teams across different countries, and contribute to continuous improvement in how we operate.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
As our International Tax Manager, you’ll:
- Provide clear and practical UK and international tax advice.
- Support cross-border transactions, funding structures, and business changes.
- Identify risks and opportunities, helping the business make informed decisions.
- Work closely with teams across different markets to ensure compliance with local tax rules.
- Contribute to transfer pricing and related documentation.
- Support key processes such as Country-by-Country Reporting and Corporate Interest Restriction calculations.
- Help manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
- Keep up to date with regulatory changes and explain what they mean for Bupa.
- Look for ways to improve processes, systems, and how we use data in tax.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
