The role focuses on providing hands-on clinical experience, progression in education, and potential involvement in research, audit, or sub-specialty exploration outside transplantation.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Cardiology Team, consisting of:
- An existing Consultant Cardiologist
- Ten Health Education East of England rotating cardiology registrars
- Provide outpatient and ward-based medical care for cardiology patients
- Gain experience in non-invasive imaging and interventional procedures, where required
- Develop expertise in an established sub-specialty area
- Participate in research and audit initiatives
- Explore additional sub-specialty interests outside transplantation
- Work under the supervision of a trained educational supervisor, with mentorship from the team and regular oversight
