Fellowship Post in Cardiology – Papworth Hospital

The role focuses on providing hands-on clinical experience, progression in education, and potential involvement in research, audit, or sub-specialty exploration outside transplantation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Cardiology Team, consisting of:
    • An existing Consultant Cardiologist
    • Ten Health Education East of England rotating cardiology registrars
  • Provide outpatient and ward-based medical care for cardiology patients
  • Gain experience in non-invasive imaging and interventional procedures, where required
  • Develop expertise in an established sub-specialty area
  • Participate in research and audit initiatives
  • Explore additional sub-specialty interests outside transplantation
  • Work under the supervision of a trained educational supervisor, with mentorship from the team and regular oversight
