Intervention Teaching Assistant 3 and Wraparound Care Assistant (Catsfield CE Primary School)

**TA3 & WCA Role: **Teaching Assistant & Wraparound Care Assistant (Part-time, Term-time Only)

  • Hours:

    • Total: 22.75 hrs/week
      • TA3: 13.75 hrs
      • WCA: 9 hrs
  • Pattern:

    • Part-time & term-time only
    • Annual Worked Weeks: 39
    • Annual Leave: 6.05 weeks (pro-rata pay)
  • Closing Date: Friday, 4 September 2026

The Role

Primary Responsibilities

  • Teaching Assistant (TA3)

    • Deliver targeted intervention support in small groups/individual sessions.
    • Adapt learning materials to meet diverse pupil needs.
    • Work alongside classroom teachers to support progress and achievement tracking.
    • Speech and Language experience is welcome but not mandatory.
  • Wraparound Care Assistant (WCA)

    • Lead struktured lunchtime play sessions (Active Play, Assertive Mentoring).
    • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment.
    • Foster positive children’s relationships and reinforce school’s core values.
    • Provide fun, engaging, creative after-school enrichment sessions.
    • Extend our nurturing ethos beyond the classroom.
