Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 optional)
  • Instil a passion for literature and language while developing students' analytical and communication skills
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
  • Contribute to curriculum development and share best practice within the English department

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
  • Effective classroom management and a commitment to maintaining high standards
  • A passion for inspiring young people and contributing positively to school culture
