Job Title and Overview
Intramural (Installation) Electrician - Renewable Energy Sector (Solar PV) - Your Eco Construction UK Ltd
Location - National - Home Based - Regional/National travel will be required depending on task.
Reporting To
- Operations Manager - Immediate line manager
- Commercial Manager
- O&M Manager
- Project Managers
Contract - Full time permanent 5 days a week.
Start - ASAP (Flexible)
Role Summary
We’re seeking a proactive (Intramural) Electrician, with particular speciality in solar PV, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and domestic/commercial understanding, with a blend of advanced technical expertise, safety awareness, and proactive troubleshooting skills. Who will be responsible for ensuring the long-term reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.

Working Criteria
Specialised Knowledge
- Proficiency in DC and AC systems, inverters, and high-voltage (HV) components (HV authorisation is preferred).
Qualifications
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent), 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and a JIB Gold Card.

Understand Technical Plans/Drawings
- Ability to read and interpret site drawings, schematics, and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
Computer Skills
- Ability to use digital, mobile-based maintenance management systems and software for reporting.
Experience
- Proactive Fault Finding: Exceptional ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues under pressure, ensuring minimum downtime.
- Preventative Maintenance: Capability to conduct planned maintenance, inspections, and component replacements.
- Testing and Inspection: Expertise in insulation resistance, continuity, and other electrical tests.
- Detail-Oriented: Thoroughness in inspecting, documenting, and reporting on system performance.
- Safety Consciousness: Deep knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, including Permit to Work procedures, safe isolation (lockout/tagout), and arc flash safety.
- Risk Assessment: Ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Working Conditions: Confidence and capability to work at heights and in some confined spaces.
