Role Overview
The Intranet Project Delivery Coordinator will support the Marketing & Communications Directorate in enhancing and developing the University’s internal digital communications and engagement platforms. Working collaboratively across faculties and professional services, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality, user-centric digital experiences that strengthen staff communication, collaboration, and organisational effectiveness.
As part of this role, you will:
- Take ownership of the University’s intranet (built on Microsoft Modern SharePoint) following its recent launch.
- Ensure the platform evolves to meet the needs of the organisation and its users.
- Focus on improving user experience, driving engagement and adoption, and aligning the intranet with institutional goals.
- Oversee governance, accessibility, content strategy, and sustainability to support efficient communication and collaboration across DMU.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Supplier Management:
- Work closely with faculty lead colleagues, technical teams, and external suppliers in managing delivery.
- Lead the internal process for requesting intranet improvements.

Project & Delivery Support:
- Assist in the ongoing delivery and enhancement of the intranet platform.
- Manage Action Items and coordinate changes to keep the platform relevant and functional.

Adoption & Change Leadership:
- Help ensure adoption of the intranet by engaging effectively with staff at all levels.
- Drive improvements and changes as required to meet end-users’ requirements.

Partner & Consultation Skills:
- Build collaborative working relationships with internal teams.
- Engage with staff to gather feedback and ensure the intranet remains user-focused and valuable.

Monitoring & Reporting:
- Implement and monitor usage trends on the intranet.
- Work closely with marketing and communications to ensure the platform remains optimised for effectiveness.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a degree-qualified (or equivalent experienced) professional with:
- Proven expertise in delivering or coordinating large-scale digital projects, with a strong understanding of intranet platforms, particularly Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online.
- Specialist knowledge in:
- Content governance
- Information architecture
- Accessibility
- User experience (UX)
- Duration: This is a temporary role until the end of the University academic year 2026/27.

Other key skills:
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- driving adoption and change initiatives
- project management (PRINCE2, Agile, or APM qualifications beneficial but not essential)
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communications skills.
- Confidence in balancing strategic thinking with hands-on project delivery.
- Preference for candidates with a background in Higher Education or relevant industry.
Salary & Benefits
- Band: 6
- Salary Range: £39,906–£43,482 GBP (pro-rata for part-time)
