Nell's Intro to Work Scheme
🌟 Are you aged 14-18 and looking to build confidence, learn new skills, and gain real workplace experience? 🌟
Nell's Intro to Work Scheme is a paid six-month programme designed to give young people a positive first experience of work in a supportive, fun, and welcoming environment. This programme will help you develop valuable workplace skills while becoming part of the Nell's team.
While this is a six-month fixed-term opportunity, people who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and alignment with our values may be considered for future opportunities within Nell's, where vacancies exist.
Who We Are
Nell’s is a neighbourhood bar serving up New York-style pizza with one simple purpose: to create spaces filled with happy faces, inclusive of everyone, from the team to our guests.
With six existing Nell's sites across Greater Manchester and big expansion plans, now is the perfect time to join our growing team.

You’ll learn:

No experience is needed. We’re looking for a keen attitude, enthusiasm, and excitement to learn.
This opportunity is open to young people, aged 14–18 and will start with a maximum of one shift per week.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll support the team with simple, age-appropriate tasks such as:
- Handling pizza boxes (e.g., folding)
- Cleaning and preparation tasks
- Setting up the restaurant before service begins
- Stocking supplies (sauces, napkins, guest essentials)
- General team support
- Learning how hospitality businesses operate

Who Can Apply?
The scheme is open to:
- Young people aged 14–18
- Requires parent or guardian consent before joining
- No previous work experience necessary
- A valid work permit from the council (if required); we can help with this process.
