The Job

Inventory Planning Analyst delivers an integrated business process that aligns demand, supply, and financial plans across an organization to create one unified plan, balancing customer needs with company resources for improved decision-making and profitability.

The purpose of this role is to optimise forecasting and inventory management by aligning customer demand, inventory investment, and supply plans to support commercial objectives.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead forecast reviews with product management, sales and lab team to accurately plan future demand.
  • Regular backorder review, working with supply chain and product management to expedite deliveries and improve customer service.
  • Maintain and validate safety stock holding policies.
  • Plan loan set builds according to market insights and operational capacity.
  • Identify inventory optimisation opportunities to reduce write-off value.
  • Collaborate with UK product management and Supply chain to combine data with insights.
  • Regular reporting of forecast, excess stock, loan set performance KPIs.
  • Proactively analyse and identify root causes of write-offs, recommend data-based solutions.
  • Deliver analysis on excess inventory to reduce the associated negative provisions in P&L.

Education And Professional Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ Years industry experience/knowledge

General Requirements

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently.
  • Apply knowledge and experience with minimal guidance for routine tasks.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation.

Specific Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Well organised with a methodical approach to work
  • Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate with all stakeholders.

Working Hours

This is a Full-time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
