Overview
As an Inventory Analyst and Planning Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, availability, and movement of inventory across the Ashby depot. This is a predominantly inventory-focused role, with a smaller element of planning responsibility to support operational efficiency.
You will be responsible for maintaining stock integrity, supporting logistics operations, and contributing to the planning and coordination of product movements. This role requires someone who is highly detail-oriented, reliable, and confident in making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate and efficient stock levels across the Ashby depot
- Monitor product availability to ensure operational readiness
- Manage depot capacity to avoid overstocking or shortages
- Ensure all inventory is stored correctly, securely, and in line with company standards

Audits & Stock Accuracy
- Conduct monthly physical stock counts and cycle counts
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Maintain high levels of stock accuracy and compliance at all times
Systems & Record Keeping
- Use inventory management systems to track all stock movements
- Process incoming and outgoing goods accurately
- Maintain clear, up-to-date, and auditable records
Logistics & Coordination
- Oversee receipt, storage, and dispatch of inventory
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient movements
- Support the coordination of stock availability for operational requirements
Training & Support
- Support and guide warehouse staff on inventory processes and best practice
- Assist with training on systems and procedures
- Promote consistency and efficiency across inventory operations
Planning Support (holiday coverage, projects, and/or high demand)
- Assist with scheduling product movements using internal planning tools
- Support optimization of installation and movement plans to maximize efficiency
- Respond to changes in the plan, including urgent or unplanned requirements
- Ensure assets are tracked, utilized effectively, and returned to available stock where appropriate

What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is detail-driven, dependable, and confident in taking ownership.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- A reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently
- Confidence in making decisions and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify issues
- Experience with inventory or warehouse systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics – training provided)
- Ideally 1–2 years’ experience in inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain
- Planning or coordination experience is advantageous but not essential
