Job Description

The Inventory Assistant supports the Inventory Manager in the accurate control, tracking, and availability of all airline-owned stock within Airline Stores and operational areas. The role ensures stock is correctly received, issued, replenished, and recorded, supporting operational requirements and compliance with airline and contractual standards.

Working across multiple departments, the Inventory Assistant will handle high-volume, reusable, and time-sensitive items in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. The role requires attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to follow procedures accurately while escalating issues where necessary.

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of airline inventory.
  • Receive, inspect, and record stock, ensuring accurate system entries.
  • Assist in cycle counts, audits, and full stocktakes; report variances to the Inventory Manager.
  • Maintain accurate stock records across multiple sites.
  • Support replenishment, par level management, and stock rotation.
  • Liaise with internal teams and airline representatives to resolve stock issues.
  • Monitor and report on stock movement, usage, and discrepancies.
  • Support new airline launches, schedule changes, and volume fluctuations.
  • Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives for inventory processes.
  • Coordinate with third-party suppliers as instructed, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, security, and aviation standards.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
