Operator, Inventory Clerk – Thrapston (Saturday - Monday)

Main Purpose of the Role
DSV are recruiting for an Operator, Inventory Clerk at Thrapston. This role will provide a customer-focused administration service on selected accounts.
Working directly with the client’s customer service team, you’ll be responsible for achieving delivery targets on orders as per customer requirements.
Reporting to the Inventory Supervisor, this role involves:
- Completing daily, weekly and monthly checks to ensure inventory accuracy
- Optimising the efficiency and effectiveness of operations
- Identifying process, system & stock layout improvements that increase operational outputs
What Will You Be Doing?
- Action cycle count tasks to expected schedules
- Initially for a single contract, likely to expand to multiple customers
- Actively work on the warehouse floor to gain a deep understanding of processes
- Participate in and assist with customer stock takes
- Monitor and respond to customer queries response
- Conduct empty location checks
- Provide system knowledge and troubleshoot operational issues
- Thoroughly investigate all queries and adjustments before making any actions
- Complete spot checks on:
- Picking activities
- Goods In activities

About You
We’re looking for candidates with the following skills & experience:
- Experience completing cycle counting to schedules while investigating variances appropriately
- Manual handling equipment (MHE) experience, specifically:
- VNA (Very Narrow Aisle)
- RT (Reach Truck)
- HLOP (High-Lift Order Picker)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to understand and interpret datasets
- The ability to manage, prioritise and deliver under strict deadlines
- Adaptability for fast-paced environments
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel
- Experience using CargoWrite or Red Prairie WMS applications (training to Basic Plus level or equivalent provided)
