Inventory Control Technician (Permanent) – Bristol Depot
About the Role
At Lineage, our mission is simple but powerful: to help feed the world. As the world’s largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics, we store, prepare, and move food-based products for a variety of customers, including major retailers, schools, hospitals, and restaurants.
We are now seeking an Inventory Control Technician to join our automated Bristol depot.
Shift & Salary
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00
- Annual Salary: £28,470
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Compile and maintain records of physical and virtual product inventories via daily cycle counting, claims management, and accounts administration.
- Manage inventory data related to ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping products.
- Order shipping materials, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Keep records up to date, including inventory, purchasing, and shipping documentation.
- Collect and process data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.
- Monitor stock supply levels and identify needs for replenishment.
- Investigate damages, inventory discrepancies, and shrink issues.
- Verify and ensure accuracy of product IDs, stock numbers, pallet IDs, and authorised substitutes.
- Review files to identify and arrange disposal of unused excess or damaged products.
- Operate warehouse material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking candidates with:
- Previous experience in stock control.
- Desirable: Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), Connect, or SAP AS400 (training available for willing candidates).
- Confident computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Strong organisation and administration abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in cold environments (full Personal Protective Equipment provided).
- Access to your own transportation for daily commuting.
