Departmental Overview
The Supply Chain team is an integral part of the logistics function. The team are primarily focussed on procurement activities and the management of inventory for the MJ Quinn Telecoms division. Key activities include stock management and the purchase of company assets, tools and consumables, development of supplier relationships, negotiations, and hiring plant.
The team are fundamental in developing MJ Quinn’s working culture, its reputation, and values.
Job Purpose / Primary Objective
To maintain a high standard of accuracy to meet with business requirements by completing physical Perpetual Inventory Counting in accordance with company KPI’s. Monitor / reduce Obsolete & manage Slow Moving stock levels. Create, complete & supply detailed spreadsheet information to all levels within the business.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Physical Perpetual Inventory checks across the multiple sections of the business.
- Enter data into SAP S4HANA / D365 systems in a timely manner.
- Investigate discrepancies with actual v systemic values.
- Order stocks at the point of trigger / buffer stock levels.
- Minimise obsolete / redundant stock levels.
- Communicate with internal / external partners on any potential shortage issues.
- Organise & file paperwork in accordance with auditing guidelines.
To be effective in this role the Inventory Controller will:
- Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
- Understands and demonstrates good business understanding of internal / external requirements.
- Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team & individually.
- Communicate effectively with all other departments.
- Prioritises on a continual basis ensuring that key tasks receive the greatest attention.
- Ability to respond, quickly and effectively to changes in a proactive manner.

- Highly driven, well organised individual with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
- Proven experience as Inventory Controller or similar position (Minimum of 2yrs).
- Experience of SAP S4HANA / D365 is preferred, but not essential.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel “pivot tables & formulas”.
- Excellent organizational, planning & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
- Team worker as well as the ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
- FLT Licence – Desirable – Training can be provided if required.
