About the Role
Help drive critical defence and engineering programmes as an Inventory Manager at Babcock, a global defence, aerospace, and engineering leader. You’ll lead inventory and supply chain operations in a mission-critical environment, supporting national security while fostering collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Joining the Mission Systems team, your work will directly impact operational readiness, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll oversee a multi-faceted role with these core duties:
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across systems.
- Monitor performance against key SLAs (Customer & Internal) and KPIs, reporting insights clearly.
- Coordinate the end-to-end spares and repairs supply chain process, engaging cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support demand and supply planning by providing analytical recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement and manage inter-site stock movements.

Eligibility & Requirements
Essential Experience
- Proven track record in customer service within fast-paced, operational environments.
- Strong ability to build and maintain trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in managing competing priorities, time, and workloads.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in a professional setting.
- Collaborative experience across multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable but Not Essential
- Proficiency in IT systems (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with ERP platforms (IFS/SAP preferred).
- Certification/knowledge of MoD SCM modules (e.g., BIWMS, CRISP, SS3, JAMES).
- Presentation skills for senior stakeholders/customers.
Key Legal Requirement
Set Security Check (SC) clearance must be achievable and maintainable.
