What we are looking for?

Leads the management, configuration, and governance of room inventory within Opera and connected systems. Owns the end-to-end lifecycle of inventory changes, ensuring availability, accuracy, and timely propagation across pricing, distribution, and downstream systems. Acts as the bridge between operational teams, product, and technology to ensure hotel inventory is correctly configured and commercially available.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management & Configuration

  • Own room inventory setup and updates across Opera environments
  • Manage:
    • Room type configuration
    • Inventory allocation and changes
    • Availability updates across properties
  • Ensure all updates are correctly reflected and bookable across systems.

  • Manage day-to-day inventory operations activities
  • Execute and oversee:
    • Room type assignments and changes
    • Reservation-related inventory updates
    • Ad-hoc and project-based inventory changes
  • Ensure operational SLAs for inventory updates are met.

System Dependency Management

  • Ensure inventory changes are correctly propagated across:
    • Pricing systems (e.g., ATE Pricing)
    • Distribution channels
    • Booking platforms
  • Identify delays or failures impacting bookability and resolve them quickly

UAT & Change Implementation

  • Lead UAT readiness for inventory-related changes
  • Coordinate:
    • Access and environment setup
    • Testing participants and validation activities
  • Support project rollouts involving room configuration or inventory updates

Change Governance & Controls

  • Determine whether changes fall under BAU or require formal change control
  • Support CAB processes where required
  • Ensure structured and auditable implementation of changes
  • Define and improve inventory-related processes
  • Identify inefficiencies in BAU and project workflows
  • Ensure scalable approaches for large-scale inventory rollouts.

Data Accuracy & Availability Assurance

  • Ensure inventory data accuracy across all systems
  • Monitor issues where rooms are unavailable or not bookable
  • Drive resolution of data inconsistencies affecting revenue.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main contact for inventory-related changes and queries
  • Collaborate with:
    • Pricing Operations
    • Product & Engineering teams
    • Environment & Release Management
    • Commercial and Operations teams
  • Provide clarity on processes and system constraints.

Required Skills & experience:

Must Have

  • Strong experience in inventory management or hotel systems
  • Deep understanding of Opera (PMS Cloud, OHRA)
  • Experience managing operational workloads (BAU + project mix)
  • Ability to work across multiple interconnected systems

Technical / Functional Skills

  • Room type and inventory configuration in Opera
  • Understanding of pricing and inventory dependencies
  • Knowledge of environments (UAT, PROD) and testing lifecycle
  • Data validation and troubleshooting skills.

Soft Skills

  • Strong ownership and accountability mindset
  • Ability to manage high-volume operational workload
  • Excellent stakeholder coordination and communication.
  • Problem-solving approach for real-time issues.
