# Summary
Inventory Operative ([#INDWAR #nijobs])
Our Inventory Operatives are responsible for processing drivers’ paperwork and any returned products. They ensure all product is properly coded and staged for put away, entering data into the warehouse management system (WMS) in a fast and efficient manner.
Flexible starting times with a shift pattern covering 5/7 days are required. You will work in areas with temperature and humidity variations (including dry, cooler, and freezer environments).
# Key Responsibilities
- Ensure drivers and customers sign all pages of invoices and returns
- Maintain records of driver paperwork errors
- Check all asset returns by drivers
- Inspect all returned product, ensuring proper coding
- Run labels and tag returned product
- Enter data into the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Ensure drivers place equipment and returns on correct pallets
- Verify product compliance under HACCP regulations
- Release manifests after completing the driver check-in process
- Maintain a clean and orderly returns area
- Communicate any issues to management immediately

Operate an electric power pallet truck or forklift for product transport

# Requirements
# Knowledge and Skills
- PC Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Email, and Word, plus WMS systems
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and precision
- Ability to identify product quality per HACCP guidelines
- Strong communication skills to explain and enforce policies
- Organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Collaborative and teamwork-focused mindset
- Resolve problems effectively and efficiently
- Warehousing experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Experience operating a forklift/electric pallet truck
Flexibility in hours/shifts required
- Advanced mathematical skills (e.g., counting, multiplying, adding, subtracting, calculating percentages)
