About the Role
We're scaling the world’s leading logistics and transport network, and we need enthusiastic Inventory Operators to join our team at Mercia Park.
These roles will deliver a customer-focused administrative service, working closely with clients’ customer service teams to meet delivery targets on orders.
Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checks to ensure inventory accuracy
- Optimise operations by identifying process, system, and stock layout improvements
- Actively assist on the warehouse floor to understand daily workflows effectively
- Manage locked inventory per company requirements
- Investigate and clear auto-generated stock discrepancies
- Oversee the replenishment process, adjusting pick-faces and layouts as needed
- Perform empty location checks
- Co-ordinate Perpetual Inventory (PI) counts
- Fully investigate and resolve queries and adjustments before implementation
- Conduct spot checks on picking activities and goods-in receipts
- Provide assistance with QC checks and value-added services (VAS) work
- Investigate and resolve unidentified inventory, returning missing stock to correct zones
- Ensure all stock is placed in appropriate zones
- Support customer returns processing
- Assist with reporting and data analysis
- Suggest process and system enhancements to boost efficiency
- Deliver training to operatives on basic system activities

Requirements & Skills
Key Qualifications
✔ Ability to analyse and interpret datasets ✔ Clear, effective written and verbal communication ✔ Strong workload management and prioritisation with strict deadlines ✔ Adaptability in a fast-paced environment ✔ Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Desirable/Nice-to-Have Skills
✔ Experience with CargoWrite or Red Prairie WMS applications (training provided to Basic Plus level) ✔ Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) experience (e.g., reach truck (RT), high-lift pallet truck (HLOP), very narrow aisle (VNA))
