Inventory Planning Analyst – Crawley (2 days a week) – Inside IR35 – £150–£175 per day

We are supporting a leading global organisation dedicated to innovation and excellence in manufacturing. Their commitment to quality and efficiency drives everything we do.
We are currently seeking a meticulous and data-driven Inventory Planning Analyst to join our dynamic team and help optimise our global supply chain operations.
The Role
As an Inventory Planning Analyst, you will:
- Manage parts inventory and ensure high availability to support manufacturing processes.
- Maintain optimal stock levels, minimise delays from shortages, and streamline internal supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement inventory planning strategies to optimise stock levels and ensure seamless parts availability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (including Service, Technical Support & Sales) to understand equipment requirements and forecast demand accurately.
- Inventory Monitoring: Analyse consumption patterns and monitor stock levels to identify potential shortages or excesses, proactively mitigating risks.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, monitor vendor performance, and escalate quality or lead-time issues internally.
- Parameter Optimisation: Regularly review and update inventory parameters (e.g., safety stock levels, order quantities, and lead times) to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate insightful reports and provide data updates to the Planning Group Leader and stakeholders on key metrics and trends.
- Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with internal colleagues and external contacts, fostering a collaborative and diverse team environment.

Skills and Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Secondary education (or equivalent professional experience) with strong performance in English & Mathematics.
- Proven experience in order processing & import/export compliance.
- Solid understanding of planning techniques, SPP & ERP systems.
- Experience within an international organisation (cross-cultural environment a bonus).

Technical Proficiency
- Advanced Excel & Power BI (including Power Query).
- Strong SQL & SAP knowledge.
