We're currently recruiting for a Team Leader, Inventory to join our Brackmills operation.
As Team Leader, Inventory, you will play a key role in the day-to-day execution of inventory activities across the warehouse operation. Leading a team of Inventory Controllers, you'll ensure stock accuracy, drive investigation standards, and support the resolution of stock discrepancies and customer queries.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong inventory control experience who enjoys coaching others, problem-solving, and maintaining high operational standards in a fast-paced environment.
What will you be doing?
- Leading and coordinating the daily activities of Inventory Controllers
- Monitoring workload priorities and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Conducting and supporting perpetual inventory (PI) counts, recounts, stock investigations, and warehouse stock queries
- Acting as the first point of contact for complex stock discrepancies and client claims
- Reviewing stock adjustments, locked inventory, nil picks, and investigation outcomes
- Supporting warehouse teams with stock-related issues and operational queries
- Ensuring investigation standards, documentation, and evidence gathering processes are consistently followed
- Providing coaching, guidance, and training support to team members
- Assisting with audits, wall-to-wall counts, traceability exercises, and recall activities
- Identifying and escalating process improvement opportunities
- Supporting supervisory responsibilities during periods of absence

About You
- Strong background in inventory control, stock accuracy, and warehouse inventory processes
- Experience conducting stock investigations and root cause analysis
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in an operational environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as CargoWrite or RedPrairie
- High attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem-solving
Desirable
- Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience within inventory or stock control
- Experience managing customer claims and operational escalations
- Experience delivering training and coaching to colleagues
- MHE licences (advantageous but not essential)
