Site Team Leader - Inventory Management Service

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated, well-organised individual to work as a site Team Leader within our Inventory Management service.

Wansbeck General Hospital

Contract Type

This is a fixed term contract covering a secondment until August 2027.

Role Overview

The post holder will provide leadership and manage the day-to-day operations for the Site Inventory Management team to ensure the provision of an inventory management service for a specific hospital site across Wards/Departments and Theatres environments within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure reordering and replenishing of stock
  • Take receipt of deliveries
  • Monitor stock levels
  • Maintain minimal stock levels
  • Rotate stock
  • Track stock across multiple sites by onsite Inventory Co-Ordinators
  • Manage sickness absence
  • Compile staff rosters
  • Assist in staff appraisals
  • Conduct staff training
  • Handle performance and disciplinary issues

About the Inventory Team

The Inventory Team has overall responsibility for the provision of inventory services (excluding pharmacy) across Northumbria Healthcare Trust (NHCT).
