London | Hybrid Working (3 days) | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
An international organisation with a significant and highly diversified investment portfolio is recruiting for an Investment Accounting Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a high-profile role taking ownership of a major direct property portfolio, leading year-end reporting, valuations oversight, audit management and stakeholder engagement across investment, property and external advisory teams.
Responsibilities:
- Own the preparation and review of financial statements for complex property structures and entities
- Manage property accounting, reporting, reconciliations and financial controls
- Oversee year-end reporting and coordinate internal and external audit requirements
- Lead the property valuation review process, challenging assumptions and ensuring valuation accuracy
- Partner with property development teams on major development projects and transactions
- Manage accounting implications of acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and development activity
- Liaise with managing agents, valuers, development managers and other external service providers
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax, legal and accounting requirements
- Supervise and develop junior accountants while maintaining a strong control environment
- Build strong relationships with investment, finance and property stakeholders across the organisation

Successful Candidate:

- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified
- Strong investment accounting experience gained under UK GAAP and/or IFRS
- Direct investment property accounting experience
- Understanding of UK tax and legal compliance requirements relating to investment property
- Experience managing or supervising a small team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Experience dealing with complex investment structures and accounting arrangements
