It has an adviser and customer offering spanning financial advice, investment platforms, multi-asset investment solutions and discretionary fund management. About the Role Level: 2 Department: Investment Management Contract: permanent Location: Edinburgh - hybrid We are hiring an Investment Administrator to support the Investment Managers team within our Edinburgh office. The role involves a wide range of administrative responsibilities and requires someone who is organised, professional, and confident working in a fast‑paced environment. Core responsibilities Respond promptly and professionally to queries from Investment Managers, private clients, and both internal and external financial advisers via telephone and email. Support the full lifecycle of client accounts – from opening new accounts, assisting with ongoing administration, to closing accounts – ensuring all processes remain fully compliant. Assist with general team administration, including: Answering inbound calls Preparing PowerPoint presentations Drafting suitability letters and maintaining suitability affirmations Inputting BAC and CHAPS payments Preparing account valuations and other statements Helping to produce investment proposals Assisting regular client reporting using Outlook mail merge Draft and respond to client correspondence, including emails and letters. Skills & attributes Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Professional telephone manner, as you will frequently interact with high‑net‑worth clients. Ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy periods such as quarter‑end and tax year‑end. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong IT skills are an advantage. Some experience within the investment or wealth management sector is preferred. Working arrangements & training The role is based in our Edinburgh office and typically requires 4–5 days per week onsite, particularly during initial onboarding and training. You will report to the Team Head, as well as the Investment Managers and Investment Assistants. Full training will be provided. We are a collaborative team, and your progression will reflect your ability to learn and take on varied tasks. Additional notes Although you will assist Investment Managers closely, this position does not ordinarily lead to the trainee Investment Manager career track. Consumer Duty To understand and fulfil the requirements of Consumer Duty and act to deliver good client outcomes, as appropriate within my roles and responsibilities. About You Ideally you will have experience in a similar role as an Investment Administrator within Wealth or Investment Management, however this is not essential We will also consider candidates who are starting their career and looking for their first opportunity within Investment Management To be successful in this role you will be an independent worker and thinker. You have an interest in financial services or have a good understanding of our financial services where you can utilise your knowledge and experience within investment management. A good level of communication skills is required.
