Investment Analyst – Market Leading IPP

The Company

Our client is a market-leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) with a substantial and growing pipeline of renewable energy projects across the UK and Europe. The investment team sits at the heart of the business, running all corporate financing matters - including debt financing, M&A and corporate development - and taking projects from early-stage development through investment approval and into construction.

The team is currently nine strong: a Senior Director, a Director, two Investment Principals (VP-level), two Associates and three Analysts. The business is in growth mode and regularly expands the team, with a genuine track record of promoting from within - recent analyst hires have progressed to Associate within their first 12-18 months.

The Role

The Investment Analyst will get broad exposure across debt, equity and M&A, working both buy-side and sell-side, on live transactions from day one. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role for someone who wants to be closely involved in deal execution rather than sitting on the periphery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
