About the Role

Hedge Fund Investor Relations

Our team also broadly works with multiple functions across the firm, offering a lens into other areas such as performance, legal/compliance, fund treasury and fund services, marketing, technology, and trading. Our hedge fund platform spans a wide range of strategies including equity long/short and diversifying strategies. This role would be focused on the diversifying strategies, which includes global macro, credit long/short, and multi-strategy.

The Hedge Fund Investor Relations function has three main objectives:

  1. Product Ownership: Marketing, development, and servicing HF Investor Relations contributes to client growth and retention by assessing business opportunities, leading business planning, developing new products and investment solutions, and creating the communication strategy for the book of business. The basis of this role is to be a subject matter expert and portfolio representative for colleagues, clients, and consultants. This includes internal presentations, performance commentary, and external client materials (both regular servicing and fundraising), materials to differentiate the product relative to competitors, and due diligence support.

  2. Business Management HF Investor Relations contributes to business management of the respective coverage area, which includes managing risk, capacity, pricing, guidelines, existing book of business and pipeline, data, and product messaging (ensuring alignment with our clients' expectations). This involves leading resolutions of internal business challenges and executing on the business plan that we set out for the strategy.

  3. Investment Integrity and Risk Management HF Investor Relations acts as an independent advisor to ensure the integrity of the investment and risk management processes, as well as consistency with client parameters and objectives, conducts regular product risk and performance attributions reviews, and contributes to formal, investment review group processes.

Investment Analyst Role and Responsibilities

The Investment Analyst will work as part of one or more product coverage teams (within diversifying strategies) to contribute to the broad efforts of HF Investor Relations. The primary focus of the role is to provide analytical leverage to the team as well as be a point of contact for a variety of internal constituents regarding inquiries about the investment teams and products under coverage. Responsibilities include performing analyses related to portfolio positioning, attribution, and risk, market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing. Additional responsibilities include creation and maintenance of marketing materials, review and updating of RFPs, responses to client and prospect questions, monthly and quarterly performance commentary, tracking allocations, assisting with internal updates to PMs, exposure analysis, and general flow data and analysis. The responsibilities span across multiple teams, requiring the ability to organize across various deadlines and shift priorities, developing a business sense of where our team can add the most value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
