About Us

Chenavari Investment Managers is a leading European focused independent asset manager. Since 2008, we have built a reputation for navigating complex credit markets with a fundamental, value-based investment approach. With over €2.4 billion in assets under management across our Toro European CLOs, the Leveraged Finance Team is growing, and we are looking for an Investment Analyst to join our London office.

What You’ll Do

As an Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting investment decisions and portfolio monitoring. You will work closely with senior team members across London and Luxembourg and gain hands-on experience in:

  • Monitoring a portfolio of assigned credits within specific sectors
  • Assessment of new investment opportunities including fundamental credit analysis and the production of reports to the credit committee
  • Monitoring of assigned credits and recommending appropriate action to the respective portfolio manager
  • Attending lender presentations, results calls, and leveraged finance conferences in London and abroad

Fundamental credit analysis:

  • Building and updating financial models
  • Reviewing due diligence packs and legal documentation
  • Liaising with management teams, banks, consultants, private equity sponsors, and industry specialists

Drafting detailed and structured credit analysis reports

Ad hoc responsibilities include:

  • ESG analysis of new and existing investments
  • Assisting in the production of weekly, monthly, and payment reports
  • Updating model portfolios and investor presentations to support the team’s fundraising efforts
  • Updating internal ratings databases
  • Booking transactions and liaising with relevant parties both externally (custodians, agents) and internally

What We are Looking For

We welcome candidates from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, particularly those who are excited about credit markets and collaborative work. We encourage applications even if you do not meet every requirement.

Technical skills, required knowledge, and experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in credit analysis is essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to express complex information with clarity and conciseness
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite, proficient knowledge of Excel
  • Python programming skills are a plus
  • A good understanding of the LBO capital structure and the ability to produce financial models
  • Company valuation skills are a plus
  • Relationship-building skills with both sell side and buy side to build market knowledge

Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • A CFA qualification or the desire to pursue one is a plus
  • Previous holder of FCA Certification role desired but not essential
