We're working with a leading renewable energy business to recruit an Investment Analyst to join its growing Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on the financing and commercial delivery of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects, gaining hands-on exposure to project finance, M&A and investment activities within one of the UK's fastest-growing sectors.

Reporting to the Investment Manager, you'll support the development, maintenance and optimisation of complex financial models while working closely with senior stakeholders, lenders and advisors on live renewable energy projects.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining financial models for utility-scale solar and BESS projects
  • Running equity and lender case scenarios
  • Supporting project finance debt sizing and optimisation
  • Undertaking valuation, sensitivity and detailed cashflow analysis
  • Reviewing and challenging financial assumptions to ensure robust investment decisions
  • Supporting acquisitions, investment appraisals, tenders and financial close activities
  • Preparing financial analysis and investment papers for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting commercial negotiations through financial insight
  • Assisting with debt compliance and ongoing portfolio reporting

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
