Role: Debt Advisory - Investment Associate
About us
We are Ardant – a brand new real estate capital markets advisory business, working with developers and investors to raise debt and equity against real assets. Co-founded by Rowern (ex-Rothschild, Macquarie and former COO of award-winning developer General Projects) and Alex (ex-British Army, Blackrock and CBRE structured finance advisory), we now find ourselves in the fortunate position of needing more hands on deck to execute the live mandates that we’re working on.
We own 100% of the business. We back ourselves to win deals and execute to an extremely high standard – we need someone who wants to work in capital markets advisory, but who is also excited by the prospect of building something new.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you
As an investment associate you will shadow us on every stage of the transaction lifecycle - from initial pitch through to credit analysis, financial modelling, lender / investor engagement, execution and closing.
Fundamentally, we raise money for our clients to build things. You will need strong numeracy to understand the problems and strong literacy to convince others of the solutions. Prior real estate and/or financial experience is helpful but not strictly necessary. If you’re curious, ambitious and enterprising, you'll figure out the basics and we’ll teach you the rest.
Be prepared for a challenge – this is not a nine-to-five.
