Associate Investment Role at a Market-Leading Growth Debt Firm
In a rare and exciting opportunity to join a market-leading growth debt firm specialising in financing rapidly scaling technology companies.
As an Associate on the investment team, you will start by supporting Investment Vice Presidents and Partners across the full deal cycle, with opportunities to grow and lead deals and shape your career within the fund over time. Your responsibilities will range from evaluating investment opportunities to deal execution, building expertise as your role evolves.
Over the long term, you will contribute to the development and running of the fund, making a lasting impact.
We are seeking a high performer at Analyst/Associate level with:
- Commercial acumen
- Strong financial training
- Exceptional interpersonal skills (EQ)

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the investment team in appraising new investment opportunities and deal origination
- Leading initial screening calls, presenting recommendations based on evaluated key merits and risks
- Working directly with Partners and Vice Presidents to:
- Conduct rigorous underwriting (projections, risk assessments)
- Support in-depth due diligence
- Assist in deal structuring
- Draft investment memoranda
- Facilitate closing processes
- Preparing accurate financial models based on company projections
- Assisting with legal documentation negotiation and closing for new investments
- Attending VC networking events and attending to portal company engagements to build relationships with founders, CFOs, and other investors
- Managing portfolio operations, including:
- Weekly calls with entrepreneurs or CFOs
- Corporate actions such as consents, waivers, fundraising, refinancing, exits, restructuring, prepayments, and rescheduling terms
- Execution of legal and administrative processes

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a relevant transactional role within:
- An investment bank
- A finance/PE/venture firm
- Strong financial and management accounting skills
- Advanced financial modelling expertise in Excel
- Highly numerate, detail-oriented, and methodical in prioritising and multi-tasking
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with capability for:
- Managing internal and external meetings
- Participating in originating through networking events
- Understanding of private equity or growth capital industries
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and integrity
- Passion for growth-stage companies and entrepreneurial environments
