Investment Banking Associate - Consumer M&A, London
Corporate Finance - Mergers and Acquisitions
Investment Banking Associate - Consumer M&A Advisory (Elite US Independent Advisory Firm). Based in London.
Our client is a global US independent advisory firm - widely regarded as one of the top platforms globally - and is looking to hire an Associate into its Consumer M&A team in London.
The Opportunity
The Consumer group in London was established as a focused, senior-led team covering large cap European corporates across food and beverage, beauty and personal care, and consumer healthcare. The team has built deep, long-standing relationships with some of the most prominent consumer businesses in Europe, advising on landmark transactions across the sector.
The firm is currently investing heavily in its European platform, having expanded its presence across several major markets over the past 12–18 months through strategic hires and new office openings. This growth has significantly widened the team's opportunity set, and the Consumer group is now scaling to match — with a recent senior hire from a leading European advisory firm adding further depth and firepower at the top of the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
