Associate – Technology at Morgan Stanley Investment Banking Division (London)

Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division collaborates globally with corporations and governments to offer tailored strategic and financial solutions. With deep expertise in Europe and a broad banking products suite, the team supports clients in short- and long-term objectives. Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate to join the Technology team in London.
About the Team
The Technology team specialises in a range of corporate finance transactions, including:
- Domestic and international/cross-border transactions
- Acquisitions
- Divestitures
- Mergers
- Joint ventures
- Corporate restructurings
- Recapitalisations
- Spin-offs
- Shareholder relations
- Takeover defences
Associates will engage with a diverse range of industrial organisations, from small entrepreneurial technology players to large-scale industrial conglomerates. You will operate within a collaborative environment, contributing high-level analysis and creative problem-solving alongside senior professionals.

Responsibilities
As an Associate, you will:
- Develop and analyse sophisticated financial models
- Gather and evaluate market data to assess trends, company valuations, and transaction viability
- Create, draft, and own presentations and memoranda for internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in team discussions and client meetings
- Assist in the execution of corporate finance transactions
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Hold a degree from a leading university
- Possess relevant investment banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience (or equivalent)
- Demonstrate strong analytical and modelling skills
- Have a deep understanding of accounting and financial concepts
- Be a results-driven team player with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Have fluent English proficiency (written and spoken)
- Bonus: Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages (not mandatory)
- Commit to excellence in professional and ethical conduct
