Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division is seeking a junior Vice President to join our EMEA Emerging Markets Coverage team in London, with a primary focus on CEE. In the Investment Banking Division, we offer global expertise in market analysis and in advisory and capital-raising services for corporations, institutions, and governments. About The Team: Morgan Stanley's Emerging Markets Coverage Team devises and executes innovative, customised solutions to our clients’ most challenging issues. The Group excels in domestic and international / cross-border transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, recapitalisations, spin-offs, exchange offers, equity & debt capital market transactions, leveraged buyouts and takeover defences as well as shareholder relations. What you’ll do in the role: The Vice President will primarily focus on driving, leading and executing prominent transactions; ensuring cooperation among key stakeholders within the Firm to deliver highest quality of service to the Firm’s clients. As a Vice President, there will also be business development assignments involving interacting directly with senior-level financial and strategic decision-makers at our corporate and international clients. Responsibilities will include: Creating and analysing financial models with a high degree of granularity Performing financial, strategic and transaction structuring analyses Creating, drafting and taking ownership of presentations and memoranda for a wider audience both internally within the firm as well as externally Day-to-day deal execution and project management Supporting the senior bankers in marketing the firm’s services Regular interaction with senior team members and client management teams Participation in client meetings on both execution and business development projects and active contribution to presentation during the meetings Providing support, mentorship and supervision to junior team members Supporting the recruitment process of junior bankers What you’ll bring to the role: Educated to degree level from a leading university (or equivalent). Relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent required. Familiarity with the sector and corporate landscape is desirable. Fluency in English. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Fluency in a regional CEE language is ideal. Strong analytical and modelling skills. Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyse and value businesses. Results-driven team player who performs well under pressure and against tight deadlines. Commitment to excellence and maintain high professional and ethical standards.
