Infrastructure Finance & Advisory Group
The Infrastructure Finance & Advisory group advises clients on financing infrastructure projects and works with coverage, product, and sales teams to develop and execute financing solutions across transportation, energy, utilities, and social infrastructure. The London-based team focuses primarily on Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and includes professionals with expertise in project finance, bonds, loans, structured products, and derivatives.
Investment Banking Division Analyst
As a first-year Analyst in the Investment Banking Division, you will support transaction execution and business development by preparing analyses and marketing materials, coordinating deliverables, and helping the team deliver high-quality advice to clients. You will receive training, on-the-job learning, and regular coaching from senior team members. The role provides exposure to acquisition finance, greenfield and brownfield project finance, refinancings, restructuring and recapitalisations, ratings advisory, and capital structure work.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Excel financial models (with guidance) and perform basic financial and risk analysis for greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects across sectors and geographies
- Support transaction due diligence by collecting information, reviewing documents, summarizing findings, and helping assess key credit risks and potential mitigants
- Prepare first drafts of client materials including financing proposals, investor presentations, roadshow materials, pitch books, and rating agency presentation content
- Help coordinate across internal teams (coverage, product partners, internal stakeholders) to track deliverables, manage timelines, and support transaction execution
- Support client and advisor interactions by preparing materials, taking notes, tracking action items, and documenting next steps
- Assist senior team members in reviewing and organizing financing documentation and supporting workstreams related to term sheets and other transaction documents
- Conduct industry, market, and company research to support pitches and ongoing client work; summarize key insights clearly and concisely

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with strong academic performance
- Prior internship experience in investment banking, corporate finance, infrastructure, private equity, project finance, or a related field is helpful but not required
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable working with Excel and PowerPoint and willing to further develop these skills
- Demonstrated interest in infrastructure finance and a willingness to learn technical concepts (project finance structures, credit analysis, debt products)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with support from the team
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines in a team environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; professional approach with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Exposure to infrastructure and/or project finance through coursework, internships, or extracurricular experience
- Basic familiarity with financial modeling and credit analysis (training will be provided)
This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
