Investment Banking - Infrastructure Advisory – Senior Analyst/Associate – London

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business.

The Infrastructure Finance and Advisory group has a global mandate to advise clients on financing infrastructure projects and work with coverage, product and sales teams to develop and execute financing solutions for infrastructure projects across transportation, energy, utilities and social infrastructure sectors. The group’s London-based team is primarily focused on Europe, Middle East and Africa. It is comprised of experts in project finance, bonds, loans, structured products and derivatives.

Starting your career in Investment Banking Division as an Analyst/Associate, you will be a key player in the execution of the firm's business. You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. Senior bankers will get to know you - both as a person and as a valued member of a winning team. You will involve in acquisition finance, greenfield and brownfield finance, restructuring and recapitalisations, ratings advisory and capital structure advisory. By leveraging expertise across products, sectors and markets, you will integrate and customize offerings and solutions to help our clients meet their strategic, financial and risk management objectives.

Job responsibilities 

  • Develop financial models and complete financial risk analysis for greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects across a broad scope of different infrastructure classes and geographies
  • Assist in undertaking transaction due diligence to assess credit risks, and identify mitigants
  • Draft financing proposals, investor materials, road show marketing materials, rating agency presentations, pitch books and other marketing materials
  • Coordinate across multiple teams including client coverage, product partners, internal stakeholders to manage deliverables and ensure transaction objectives are met
  • Engage closely with clients and third party advisors to develop and implement appropriate financing solutions in a range of situations
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing and negotiating financing documentation to support the senior project finance advisors in working with clients
  • Conduct industry and company research to identify new opportunities

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • 3-5 years of investment banking or private equity experience 
  • Proficient quantitative and analytical skills (including excel and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate advanced financial modelling, valuation and debt structuring capabilities
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, able to mutli-task and manage project independently 
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines 
  • Ability to interact with stakeholder in a wide range of situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Infrastructure/project finance experience

This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
