Investment Banking Expert

Location: Remote
Engagement Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $150 –$220/hour

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for experienced Investment Banking professionals interested in contributing to advanced AI research and evaluation projects. The role focuses on evaluating real-world investment banking work, developing rigorous grading frameworks, and assessing AI-generated outputs to improve the reasoning capabilities of next-generation AI systems.

Rather than producing investment banking deliverables, you will define evaluation standards, assess the quality of financial analyses, and provide structured feedback based on industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design task-specific evaluation criteria for investment banking deliverables, including financial models, valuation analyses, pitch books, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), deal memoranda, and board presentation materials.
  • Evaluate AI-generated and human-created work using structured scoring frameworks.
  • Provide detailed written justifications supporting each evaluation and score.
  • Apply consistent, evidence-based judgment to ensure accurate and reproducible evaluations.
  • Review financial models, transaction analyses, valuation methodologies, and investment banking materials for quality and accuracy.
  • Incorporate reviewer feedback and continuously refine evaluation standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
