Job Title: Senior Associate – Real Estate Investment Banking (UK)
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join J.P. Morgan’s UK Real Estate Investment Banking team, contributing to one of the leading positions in the sector by number of clients, transaction activity, and revenue market share.
The team specialises in:
- Origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions across UK subsectors
- Advisory support on corporate strategy
- Corporate broking, involving engagement with equity research, equity sales, and C-suite client management
As a Senior Associate, you’ll be pivotal in shaping business strategy and transaction execution, including:
- Marketing pitch preparation
- Financial modelling, DCF analysis, and valuation work (including transaction comparables, trading comparables, LBO modelling)
- Client and internal committee presentations
- Leadership in deal execution, cross-functional collaboration
- Mentorship and supervision of junior team members
This role offers exposure to global sector teams and other J.P. Morgan product offerings across EMEA and beyond, embedding you in a collaborative, mission-driven culture.

Job Responsibilities
Core Transactional Duties
- Coordinate deal execution, including client communication and cross-team collaboration
- Develop strategic positioning materials, pitch books, and client-specific presentations
- Conduct real estate and financial analysis (DCF, transaction structuring, comparable analysis, LBO models)
- Deliver internal and client presentations, including Board materials and transaction memoranda
- Provide daily deal execution leadership, maintaining regular client dialogue
- Engage with senior bankers and client stakeholders to discuss strategic alternatives
Support & Relationship Management
- Mentor and supervise junior analysts/interns
- Liaise with global equities, research, and product teams
- Represent the team in engagements with client management and industry leaders
Requirements
Must-Have Experience & Skills
- Proven investment banking experience, preferably in M&A or Industry groups
- Strong real estate sector finance experience (valuations, DCF models, transactions)
- High-pressure work environment – excels at multi-tasking across concurrent projects
- Client-facing confidence: professional, articulate, and decisive in interactions
- Attention to detail, organisation, and efficiency – proactive time management
- Commercial acumen: can synthesise complex ideas succinctly and defend proposals
- Inclusive mindset: committed to being a collaborative team player
- Excellent written/verbal communication – ability to explain concepts clearly
