The Opportunity
Pinsent Masons is seeking a private markets investment funds lawyer of Associate level (or equivalent) to join our global Investment Funds team. This role is open to candidates looking to work across our London, Edinburgh, or Glasgow offices.

Working with a diverse range of UK and international clients, you'll engage in complex and impactful matters while building specialist expertise and meaningful relationships.
Role And Responsibilities
Bring your specialist funds expertise and a commercially minded approach to a team trusted by leading fund managers and major institutional investors. You will:
- Take ownership of client matters, leading transactions with support from senior colleagues.
- Contribute to the strategic growth of the team, fostering client relationships both independently and across our international network.
- Advise on the structuring, establishment, and operation of private investment funds across sectors including energy, infrastructure, climate & sustainability, debt, and private equity.
- Draft and negotiate core fund documentation, including:
- Limited partnership agreements
- Shareholder agreements
- Unit trust deeds
- Management agreements
- Administration agreements
- Lead investor negotiations, including handling side letter requests and preparing tailored fund review reports for institutional investors.
- Collaborate closely with tax specialists, offshore counsel, and administrators to deliver seamless, full-service advice throughout fund formation and fundraising processes.
- Develop strong client relationships, support business development initiatives, and actively engage in the growth of our market-leading Investment Funds team.
